Vegetable Patties

Ingredients

  • 200g All Pourpose Flour
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 50g Margarine
  • 1/2 teaspoon Lymol
  • 100ml Cold Water or as needed
  • 1 Onion (Chopped)
  • 50g each Carrots, Leeks, Cabbage and any other vegetable (Chopped)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chili Flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon Lymol
  • Salt
  • Paper
  • 200ml Oil

Directions

Step 1
Prepare the patty filling by sautéing the chopped Onions and the vegetables until cooked.
Step 2
Add the chili flakes, salt and paper to taste and mix well and sauté for few more minutes.
Step 3
Remove the mixture from the fire add in 1/2 teaspoon Lymol and allow to cool
Step 4
To prepare the dough, mix the flour and the salt in a medium bowl.
Step 5
Add in the egg and rub in the margarine into the flour, pinching into small pieces using your hands until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Step 6
Add 1/2 teaspoon Lymol and the water few teaspoons at a time until the mixture forms a ball. Now flatten the ball slightly, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Step 7
Cut the dough into small rounds or triangles and fill them with the prepared vegetable mixture, close and past with egg wash
Step 8
Deep fry the patties in hot oil until golden brown

  1. Can you pleae let me know if the patty can be baked instead of deep frying?
